I was also more in tune with when I was focusing on the negative. I started to alter my perspective on things and actively look for the good around me instead.
This only heightened my already soaring happiness and has led to me, 28 days later, as a far more mindful, grateful, and content individual. Aug 19, Jen Marin rated it liked it Shelves: I found this book to be incredibly hokey. Really, it was repetitive, and cheesy, and I had to force myself to finish it. Nevertheless, Byrne is on to something important in this book, and I found that making myself slog through it helped me to get in touch with the power of gratitude to transform my experience of life.
I gave up on the exercises early on as they were time consuming and difficult to fit into my already packed life. However, just reading a chapter or three every day or so had a strong impact on my use of gratitude and my recognition for all that is right in my world. When we remember to be grateful, both verbally and energetically, we change our perspective from one of lack to one of bounty.
This helps us to feel better, and according to Byrne, helps us to invoke all the good we can imagine. I haven't manifested anything massive through these practices yet but I have to admit that I feel better, and I am noticing all the good that does come my way with clearer vision.
Hot running water coming out of the tap. My general good health. A refrigerator. A car that runs. A house with room for all.
This computer I type at. The information well that is the internet. My eyes, my hands, my ears. My family. A better job prospect and new opportunities that I had never before thought possible. Every single day, I give thanks for these blessings and more. And you know what?
I do feel better. And things are looking up. Or at least, I am. View 1 comment.

That's the disclaimer here. If it's not your thing and you've tried The Secret or The Power then this is more than likely to inspire the same feelings those gave you. However, if, like me, you've read those and gained plenty from them, but found yourself sliding into the less positive in recent times, then The Magic, essentially a much more straightforward, plain-speaking, less mystic, more direct instru I very much subscribe to this stuff.
However, if, like me, you've read those and gained plenty from them, but found yourself sliding into the less positive in recent times, then The Magic, essentially a much more straightforward, plain-speaking, less mystic, more direct instruction book than its predecessors, is for you. Contained within: Thing is, it's 28 days. Do it, and if it doesn't do anything for you, then it's no more than a bit of 28 days you've lost.
I have absolute confidence in the things within as being things that will enhance and remind me of all the wonder and, indeed, magic of life.
These books have not just got me through all manner of tough circumstances, but they've given me many, many tools to brighten up literally everything around my life.
Truly, I am happier for these books. I am excited to have what, on first reading, very much feels like either a starter or refresher course, as applicable, in the methods and attitudes expressed in Rhonda Byrne's other books, and I am, heh, grateful for its existence. Recommended to download if you liked the previous books, and to try if you haven't experienced either and have an open and willing mind to change some things.

This book gave you the secrets on how to "improve" your life in 28 days. If you want this magic to work, surely you should read this book slowly and read each sentence until you understand what does it mean. I am absolutely stunned on how much gratitude can bring to you. I've completed the book and i still continue to put gratitude in each day i live.
It's wonderful. Apr 10, Louise Cusack rated it it was amazing Shelves: My favourite of Rhonda Byrne's books so far. Easy to read and apply, and so profound. This book has literally changed the way I live my life. So very grateful to her for writing it! Mar 08, Sunny Sodday rated it liked it. Rhonda Byrne's first book 'The Secret' was one of the life changing books I've read in my entire lifetime so far.
And my expectations from 'The Magic' was huge. The book is mainly about the attitude of gratitude and sadly it is only about that. The book's language is very simple and very impactful and I totally agree with the concept. I think this is great read of you haven't read 'The Secret. The idea is good but elonga Rhonda Byrne's first book 'The Secret' was one of the life changing books I've read in my entire lifetime so far. The idea is good but elongated.
Apr 07, Michele Harrod rated it liked it. I loved 'The Secret' movie when it first came out, and I do believe we all have the power to manifest our life and are in fact doing so every minute of the day, whether we are conscious of the fact, or not. So this is a good reminder to do it consciously.
This book is all about Gratitude - and offers 28 daily practices to ingrain gratitude into your thinking.

In this day and age, when people seem to spend more time focussing on what they don't have, than appreciating what they do, it's probably an excellent starting point.
And if that leads them to really understand the power of their own hearts, then that is even better. The theory is, like attracts like, so while you spend your time being grateful for the good things in your life, even if they are just some tiny things to start with and yes, even the worst off have plenty to be thankful for , those good things will grow, and by the end of it, you shouldn't have any time for anything but being grateful for the abundance in your life. There you go, that sums up the book.
I'm grateful it was a quick and easy read. My life is amazing, and I never want to take that for granted, so The Magic was a wonderful wakeup call not to. I know this stuff, it's Quantum Physics But like all knowledge, unless we are practising it, it is completely redundant.
So every now and then you need a bit of to get the juices flowing again. This did for me. And I am esepcially grateful for being reminded to do so! Mar 25, Sarah marked it as to-read. I can deal with that: Mar 31, Nikki Naddy rated it it was amazing Shelves: Gibt Hoffnung und Mut, wieder an sich zu glauben. Jun 01, Farah rated it really liked it. This book is a blessing. I do admit the practices are very concentrated and are a little time-consuming, but in the end, it made my heart feel as light as a feather.
This book just added to the amount of gratitude I practice daily. The book offers quotes, lessons, tips, and facts all concerning gratitude.
Any problem's solution is gratitude; it's true. It just makes me see how I am infinitely blessed and I take it all for granted. This books goes so deep you're going to end being thankful for the air you breathe The initial practice that continues for the rest of the book is to list ten things you're thankful for in the morning.
I firstly named the obvious: But then finding more was a challenge. It really made me focus into thanking the things I never appreciated before: Thanking what was out of my control helped me accept what was to come in the near future.
I am a thankful soul. I pray every day for a better tomorrow knowing the day I lived was more than okay. I'm happy I pulled this book, specifically, out of my library, thinking it was going to be a quick read. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for everything the way it is. Aug 24, Ding Ong rated it it was ok. Well, one word sums up this book. However, this author managed to write an entire book on this seemingly simple word. It does get repetitive after a few chapters as it explores the same value over and over again while reiterating its importance.
Its written as a 'guidebook' in which over 28 days of practising gratitude can change your life. Well, it seemed rather absurd as i was reading it. It appears to be more of self-denial from my point of view. Still i believe strongly in gratitude Well, one word sums up this book. Still i believe strongly in gratitude and being grateful, hence i did not chuck this book aside despite finding it rather unbelievable.
It is not a book that people would really want to read but i find that many people NEED to read it. Not reading it as in taking the whole book seriously but using it as a reminder.
This book came at the right time. It served as a good reminder that we should live life with gratitude. Not because it can grant direct material gains as the book insists but rather for making our lives more enjoyable. Take things for granted and you won't appreciate them.

If you are looking for an in depth gratitude journal, this book is for you. If you are looking for a 28 day life changing journey as stated on the back of the book , don't waste your time.
This was extremely hard for me to get through, I almost didn't finish. The writing was written in 'hokey' language that was very repetitive and cheesy. I had a hard time even practicing the exercises due to the outdated style. This is more of a gratitude journal with 28 days wort This is such a shame to write. This is more of a gratitude journal with 28 days worth of prompts, which is not a bad idea, but the back of the books says "28 day journey" and "life changing", where it should be a "an in depth gratitude journal".
I feel really bad writing this review because it spreads such a great message of love and could have been done so much better.

After reading this book I've to admit that I'm not living but I'm surviving because still I dont know what life is. When we were kids, we had no responsibilities and we were the most happiest persons in the world.
When we grow we put ourselves in huddle, take life so difficult and it make The magic by Rhonda Byrne can be summed up in two words "Be Grateful". When we grow we put ourselves in huddle, take life so difficult and it makes us sad. If we solve one problem than more problems appear, it is because we are problem creators of our lives. I have seen those in total poverty become prosperous and I've seen people depression into joyful and fulfilling lives, it is up to us how we change our lives.
It reminds me from foot to head, Brain to Heart that how blessed we are and flash to those who are unable to see the colour of lives.. So firstly we should be thankful to Almighty Allah for everything we have, secondly say Thanks to all people even those who hurt you, who deceive you because actually they teach us how to live, they warn us from the monsters in real life.
And never forget those who help and support us in every difficult point of our lives.. Yes the most important thing that learned is: The person who deserve your gratitude more than anyone else is YOU.. Easy to understand and fluid language. I completed the 28 days exercise and it's working like magic. I highly recommend it to everyone who wants to bring magic to their life.
Be grateful and thank every thing around you, air, water, atmosphere, weather, health, arms, legs, bike, car, mobile, internet, computer, family, friends and each any everything that's around you.

The Magic is uplifting to read. Will it really completely change your life? It depends I have to say from the outset that I am a big fan of Rhonda Byrne's work; but I'm a fan of it because her books and film have literally transformed my life and life of many others.
Rhonda Byrne has provided us with a fuller picture of the Law of Attraction in her previous book, and Now she has provided us with even more fuller picture of The Gratitude power. There is no doubt that the practice of gratitude what The Magic is all about is the absolute fastest way to a magical, joyful life.
It's also, for me, the most natural and enjoyable way of making my life better. I would rate this book a 10 out of 5. It's that good. Do yourself a favor, and Pick up this book right now.

We recommend The Magic for those looking for practical steps to live The Secret every day. It is not essential to have read The Secret before reading The Magic. However we suggest a basic understanding of Law of Attraction is advisable, either through reading The Secret or The Power, or by watching the original Secret movie.
