Jul 18, Mary Lockett rated it it was ok. This is what I get for reading the 99 cent kindle downloads. Feb 10, Aly rated it it was amazing. Loved it! This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. You have been warned!!!! I wasn't sure if I should give it five or four stars though. I decided to give it four you'll see why when you read towards the end of my review. Felt so many emotions. Sad for Tristan, and many times wanted to smack Darren, surprised about the truth behind Ana's vision which made feel like a complete idiot and take back the thoughts I had about Darren though still he should be more understanding of how Ana felt , and a little heartbroken about the grandmother's cold treatment towards Ana after everyone found who Ana really is.
It was a bit intense. I didn't like the ending too much, I mean Darren dies but then he's not, and through some mystified means. How was he healed anyway?
They didn't go into detail about that, but a certain vampire had a hand in that I mean I didn't want Darren to die in the first place, but something about him being brought back to life makes me uneasy Especially since a vampire was involved. And that line Leia says to Ana, "All that I ask is that when the time comes, you remember where your allegiance lies. And to bring more anticipation Leia continues, "There are much bigger things at work than a silly rivalry between vampires and witches.
There's more? Of course there's more. To find out what it is we'll have to read the next and final book to see. Feb 19, Kaitie rated it liked it Shelves: I Thought this book was really good, but it was so shory! I can"t believe that Ana ran away with Tristan even if she did think it was to save her haven. I also can't believe Lea is actually an Archangel and made all this happen and that she killed all those people. How could heaven actually cut Ana's wings, i mean seriously?
I cannot believe Darren died and then came back to life. I think the next book I Thought this book was really good, but it was so shory! I think the next book is going to have a lot more to do with Heaven and angels and i think the angel Michael is gonna come down to right Ana's wrong. And if i read the books correctly, Tristan said it would not be a good idea. I still don't like Duncan, eventhough i do feel bad for him because of his daughter Elena who is a vampire.
I can't believe he tried to twist Ana's words like that. Gosh people, what happened the last time you didn't listen to Ana, Oh yeah! An army of Vampires showed up on your doorsteps.
I really hope Ana kills Daemon and that Darren and Ana live happily ever after. Jul 21, Annette M Guerriero Nishimoto rated it really liked it. This novella packed such a punch that for a minute I couldn't believe I had finished.
I found the story so dramatic that many times I found myself on the edge of my seat. Ana now has all of her memories back, and not to soon. The vampires are declaring war against the witches of Brighton in retaliation for the "murder" of one of their own. And though she receives a message from London giving her three days before the attack, it seems the vampires have a timeline all their own.
With the fate of Brighton weighing heavily on her, Ana chooses to leave the safety of the haven to possibly draw the vampires away.
This however is not what happens in the end. Nearly all hope is lost as she makes contact with Darren and see's what's happening through his eyes. Everyone is dying, even him. In the end she has done what she always has. She ran away with Tristan. There were quite a few mistakes in Brown Eyes that should have been picked up by the editor, and that is one of my pesky pet peeves. I actually can't wait for the next book to come out next month.
I hope it lives up to this one. Dec 15, Michelle rated it did not like it. I was very distracted by the grammar, spelling and syntax errors in this book. The story like was a combo of about six different series I have already read so it did not seem that original but there were many many errors in this book. The third in the series did not have as many errors and the storyline kind of redeemed itself in the end but the series came off to me as kind of spoofy and this one actually had a line out of another series I will not name, swear to God.
I can understand what the I was very distracted by the grammar, spelling and syntax errors in this book.
I can understand what the authors are trying to accomplish by doing it as an Ebook but please, if you ever actually publish this on paper have someone who knows grammar and syntax read it first. I am one of those people who don't use the abbreviations when texting so I might just be being a little harsh.
Or, the, if, and, left out in places that they were required and many other words as well as sentences being constructed in improper order.
There were sentences that started one way and you could still tell what the point was but it annoys me and makes it difficult to concentrate on the story line. Please keep that in mind for your future series you have planned. Aug 28, Maureen Hoar rated it liked it.
Very short and sweet! This book seems to be a bridge between the opening book and maybe the big finale.
A lot happens to Ana that changes her life forever. I am not sure that I would not have made the same choices as she did. There was really no indication that some of the characters in the book had the abilities they had. I can not tell who is her friend or foe now. There are so many different characters that I forget who they all are.
I guess I am saying I am totally lost in this story and I d Very short and sweet! I guess I am saying I am totally lost in this story and I don't think there is any hope of me figuring it out anytime soon. It truly has potential but I am so very lost.
If heaven has abandoned her why does she not just do what she wants and hook up with Tristan??? Ana has chosen two destinies and she is being torn in two. She has no support system anymore with London dead and her grandmother living in the past. Who does she trust? I have no idea who that would be. Maybe the next book will have the answers I seek! Apr 17, Na Deela rated it really liked it Shelves: Ok, so I'm glad this one wasn't so confusing and was much easier to follow.
I'm glad the story started right where the first left off. We got right down to business and straight into the action. One of the problems I had with this one was that at some point, we seemed to jump around a bit from one thing to another and I cant say much more than that without spoiling the story.
The other problem was the ending. Again, trying to avoid a spoiler, I'm pretty irritated with the switch from one side to Ok, so I'm glad this one wasn't so confusing and was much easier to follow.
Again, trying to avoid a spoiler, I'm pretty irritated with the switch from one side to the other. It just isn't fair. I know, I know, life isn't fair, but still, really? Anyway, I still really like the story and hope book 3 brings about a satisfying resolution.
I'm completely torn by what's happened so far Jun 16, Alexis rated it liked it. I was a little disappointed that this book was only 67 pages, but I heard the last book is a full length book. Besides the length it was a solid book. I am getting a little sick of her switching her mind from Darren to Tristan. She is devoted to Darren; however the second she sees Tristan she suddenly would do anything to be with him.
I find that very hard to read, because, especially for myself, when the main character chooses someone to love it is much easier for the reader to love him too, bu I was a little disappointed that this book was only 67 pages, but I heard the last book is a full length book.
I find that very hard to read, because, especially for myself, when the main character chooses someone to love it is much easier for the reader to love him too, but when the main character keeps flip flopping the reader has a very hard time deciding who they like. The grammatical errors were minimal this book, unlike the first one. May 28, Tracy rated it liked it. I was disappointed in this book.
I bought the trilogy thinking I would be reading three books but this series could really have been condensed into two books. I started off really enjoying the first book and then found myself slowly losing interest as it progressed. I even considered giving up reading them at one stage but decided that I would soldier on and finish it.
I feel the author just tried to cram as many supernatural beings as they could into one book. Nov 07, Jeanne' Sparks rated it really liked it. This book is a short novella in between the first and third book and is a nice continuation of the story. This novella is only 67 pages and is action packed. We will find out where Ana's loyalties really lay.. To cap it all off there is an epic battle as the vampires and witches face off. For such a short novella, there sure is alot within it and a must read in the "Forever Trilogy".
Aug 17, Kristyna rated it really liked it. Sometimes it has too much going on, angels, vamps, witches, etc. Almost like the show True Blood not the books. But is an entertaining read, with the overdone, yet still addicting, cliche of a love triangle. Plus the first one was a full length novel on Kindle for. This one is a short novella for. Both good reads for a great price. Dec 28, Renay rated it really liked it. Jul 14, Erika rated it liked it. I'm very torn when it comes to reviewing this book.
On the one hand, I completely agree with the reviewers that state this novella could have been easily flushed out into a full novel by filling in the scenes a bit more.
However, I do feel like the writing has grown a lot from the first book and that the trilogy has finally found it's focus. Feb 10, Yumalia Cespedes marto rated it it was amazing. I really hope that they stay together Happily ever after, their love has concord so much in all the different life times that i think they are an inspiration. Love concords all, 2 thumbs up for the author for such a lovely story! Jul 10, Michelle rated it really liked it. This was a great continuation of Grey Eyes, albeit short.
Eventually, the thing they're running from catches up with them, and Ana's mom get's killed. She runs away but gets found by her guardians, who have kept their distance so that she and her mother don't know that they're watching them. They tell her that she's royalty, and take her home to Brighton, MA. That's where the witches are.
On her first night there she gets a visit from a mysterious stranger, who leaves a diary entry on her pillow. It's was written by her aunt, and as she begins to read it she finds that she can remember the boy it's about. Meanwhile, she meets a young guardian at her welcome party who she starts to like as well. As the story progresses, Ana begins to remember things from before her lifetime. All things dealing with the boy. Eventually, it comes down to the boy from this lifetimes vs. She's put into the impossible situation of having to choose which one lives and which one dies.
Good stuff! Likes: Ana, the main character is funny and strong though she does cry alot. I loved her best friend Taylor, she totally steals the scenes she's in. I especially love the twists.
Every time you think you have a handle on whats going to happen, the author flips the script and you're like wow! Dislikes: The final twist is something you're either going to love or hate. It sorta seems to come out of nowhere, but if you read carefully you'll see little hints. Ana goes back and forth with her decision which will make you want to throw your kindle out the window a few times.
I almost did. Overall: Great story!!!
