In the present work water cooling tube method was adopted to measure the thermal conductivity of solid fluoride slag using electroslag metallurgy process.
Experimental Measurement of effective thermal conductivity of fluoride slag was performed by water cooling tube method. The theoretical principle is based on the Single cylinder wall heat transfer model. Figure 1 is the schematic diagram of the measurement apparatus.
Details of this apparatus and the basic principle of the method had also been reported in previous work. It would have a large radial temperature gradient in the crucible.
